Together Against Graffiti
Graffiti effects all of us, and that’s why a group of dedicated Kent volunteers have organized the TAG program — together against graffiti.
It’s a grass roots effort to combat graffiti and clean up city buildings, concrete walls, and bridge columns that have become places for unwanted tagging.
The group is made up of university students, Greek organizations, business people and residents who really care about how their community looks, and are willing to give back with their time and scrubbing muscles.
The first graffiti brigade is gathering at 10 am. on April 21, 2007 at the Rock Cafe on Water Street in downtown Kent. If you want to join in, just show up, there’s plenty of cleaning and paint supplies for everyone.
Downtown businesses like the Franklin Square Deli and Guys Pizza will provide food for the volunteers, so although you’ll work up an appetite, you won’t go home hungry.
Don’t worry if you can’t make it, we’ll have more to come.
You can also help by reporting a location where you’ve seen graffiti by:
1. Emailing me from this Blog (click on Contact Me at top right of page)
2. Calling it in at (330) 678-8105.
Please help us stop unwanted graffiti.
Thanks.
