Summer Mosquito Control Spray Program

The Kent City Health Department Mosquito Control Program plans to conduct night spray applications by truck as needed to abate high adult mosquito activity and possible disease-carrying mosquitoes throughout the summer months.

View the Spray Schedule on the Kent City Health Department website, it will be updated weekly.

Decisions on adulticide treatments are determined on a weekly basis after compiling all the spray requests from the public, surveillance data, and disease testing results. Determination of treatment area is usually decided before 2:00 PM on Monday of each week and an automated notification will notify you of treatment within your area for the following day; however, we cannot guarantee it will always be by 2:00 PM.

Residents of the City of Kent can subscribe to our notification list and receive an email, phone call, or text notification for adult mosquito treatments by registering through SWIFT911 on the City of Kent Website

We cannot guarantee specific buffer distances around a property, but we will make all reasonable efforts to avoid directly or indirectly spraying the property.
