Working around the clock this week, the City’s snow plow operators have been able to push back on Old Man Winter, clearing City streets to the point where the Public Service Director feels comfortable lifting the parking ban on City streets. Who knows what tomorrow will bring but for the moment on-street parking is back. See the press release below:

THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE FOR THE CITY OF KENT HAS ANNOUNCED THAT THE SNOW EMERGENCY PARKING BAN PUT INTO EFFECT WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 12TH, 2011 HAS BEEN LIFTED AS OF 8:00AM TODAY, FRIDAY, JANUARY 14, 2011.
RESIDENTS AND BUSINESSES ARE REMINDED TO CONTINUE TO CLEAR PUBLIC SIDEWALKS OF SNOW AND ICE ABUTTING THEIR PROPERTIES.
