Kent Thinkubation
Since the day I first arrived in Kent I was attracted to the eclectic, edgy nature of things here. It’s like everything is just a little off centered — which compared to some of our homogenized neighbor cities — was really refreshing. Odd is good, especially in today’s innovation based economy that relies on a steady stream of fresh new ideas from people that don’t accept convention as an upper limit. You’ll find a lot more funky ideas coming out of a funky place, so to me Kent is an innovation factory in action; it’s a “thinkubator” city. I’ve always wanted to find a way to capture that “thinkubator” culture and create a space locally that accelerates that rate of thinkubation.
In case you’re thinking I’ve lost my mind at this point, here’s an article that describes what I’m talking about.
