Mayor Fiala enjoys a challenge and in April he and the Mayor of Ravenna challenged each other to see who could get the most donations to the local food pantries in each city.
I haven’t heard the official tally yet but we’re happy to declare Mayor Fiala the winner for all he does for this community all year long.
The Mayor and his wife are tireless in their support for local needs and the food drive is just one of a many activities he uses his fame to help promote.
The Mayor mentioned that he’s been on the losing end of the annual Kent-Ravenna high school football challenge so he’s hoping for a victory on behalf of the many people in our community that rely on donations to be able to keep food on the table for their families.
Like I said, he’s a winner.
