The extended warm weather this Fall has been great for the contractors that have been busy building the new Dan Smith Community Park in downtown Kent.
I snapped a couple of photos this week to give you a look at the quality of the workmanship that is going into the performance stage and the “adult play areas” on the west side of the property.
I’m told that the contractor is pretty much wrapped up with the work they wanted to get done before the winter weather hits so next spring they’ll come back and stain the woodwork, landscape around the stage, and begin building the waterfalls, train, jungle gym and slide on the east side of the property.
It’s looking great.
I can’t wait for the ribbon cutting party next year.
